CCOF-Habitat for Humanity Panel Build 2025.
Catholic Circle of Faith will participate in the building of three duplexes at 1528-1530 Arlington Ave, in the Des Moines's River Bend Neighborhood. These six affordable Habitat homes will be named Pope Leo Village in honor of Pope Leo XIV's commitment to serving others, peace, and unity. An anonymous donor has generously stepped forward to rally youth and volunteers from all walks of life to help with construction.
GDM Habitat invites Catholic schools and parishes, as well as other faith communities to join in this building endeavor, to come together to build relationships and create opportunities for affordable home ownership. Anyone moved by the new, U.S. born pope is welcome and encouraged to serve others through the Pope Leo Village campaign.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church, WDM, will host this build in the parking lots to the south of the Parish Center. We will have a lunch break, with lunch provided by Sacred Heart/Catholic Circle of Faith. Volunteers must be 16+ to participate. No experience is needed! The registration link is below. Here are the positions needed:
Setup & Cut Crew (7:00-8:00 am): this shift will help set up for the panel build and begin cutting walls for the build. Hard hats & safety glasses must be worn for this build.
Wall Builders (8:00 am-2:00 pm): this shift will frame and build the walls, which may include the use of various tools such as saws, routers, and hammers. Hard hats & safety glasses must be worn for this build. This shift will also pick up tools, debris, and building materials and help load the truck.
