About the StudyIn the Mass we encounter God in the most intimate ways possible as we hear him speak to us in the Liturgy of the Word and as we receive him Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Holy Eucharist. A Biblical Walk through the Mass is a 5-session study exploring the biblical roots of the Liturgy and reveals what the Mass means and why it matters.
Dr. Edward Sri unpacks the meaning behind the words and rituals of the Mass, showing how the Liturgy is rooted in Scripture. By studying its scriptural foundation and rich meaning, you will gain a deeper understanding of the Mass and grow in love for the Holy Eucharist. The videos include footage of a Mass at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia.
This study is led by Dr. Edward Sri, a theologian and well-known Catholic speaker and author of several best-selling Catholic books with Ascension, including Pocket Guide to the Mass, which he co-authored with Father Mike Schmitz, and many other resources. Ascension more recently released his podcast The Mass in a Month that includes a downloadable prayer guide. -

To be part of the parish's study set order, please register before Monday, July 20.
Participants may purchase a workbook with questions, reflections, and applications and the book written by Dr. Edward Sri by the same title for a suggested cost of $30. We kindly ask for payment at the first session. The study set does not include the access to the session videos outside our class time, although arrangements can be made for you to view a session video if you miss a session.
Our desire is for everyone who wants to participate in this study to be able to do so. The cost for materials should never stand in the way of spiritual growth and learning. Please contact Vivian to request a scholarship. All requests will be handled confidentially.

The online access option offers 24/7 access to all of the videos, the workbook and accompanying e-book for one year. This is a great option if you'd like to do the study on your own or if you'd like to watch the videos again outside of our class time.
