Saturday, October 17 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Founders Hall
As women, we are entrusted with feeding the wells of our families and friends through love and service. Yet so often we fail to give ourselves time to connect with God and refill the water of our own well(s). Ss. John and Paul's Stephen Ministry is offering a Women's Healing Retreat to recognize our gifts and need for spiritual healing through contemplation, reflection, and prayer.
Our day will begin with the Rosary (optional) in the Church, asking Jesus to consider us in his moments of deepest sorrow. We will use imagination to enter deeper into Gospel passages such as the Adulteress Woman and the Woman at the Well before encountering the transformative hope of the Resurrection of Lazarus and closing out the day with the (optional) Glorious Mysteries of the Rosary. Please bring a Bible, a journal, and rosary to use during some of the spiritual exercises. Lunch will be provided.
Invite friends and family who may benefit from this day of healing and hope!
Directly following the retreat, participants will have the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation or in spiritual direction.
This retreat is free, although free-will donations are encouraged to supplement the Ministry. Kindly RSVP before October 13 to Vivian Day McGee by email or phone 515-967-3796 x018 or register here:
