Sunday, March 8, 2026: Bible 101 - A Crash Course of Scripture
Have you ever found the Bible confusing or disjoined or just plain weird? This is the talk for you. Using the theme of covenant, Katie breaks the Bible down into six bite-sized chunks that are understandable and easy to remember. Truly a crash course and consistently one of Katie's most popular talks, audiences walk away wowed by an inner logic in Scripture they had no idea existed and a profound sense of their own crucial role in the story of salvation. This is the bible like you've never heard it before.
Monday, March 9, 2026: Jesus and Jerusalem - The Geography of Holy Week
For thousands of years, Christians have referred to the Holy Land as the fifth gospel, and since the earliest days of our faith, they have venerated the sites where Jesus lived, preached, died, and rose from the dead. This visually rich presentation will trace the final hours of Jesus's life in and around Jerusalem from the Last Supper to our Lord's death on the cross. Exploring photograph's, archaeological remains, and digital renderings, we will walk in His footstep's and enter more fully into the drama of His final days.
The mission events will take place in the church on Sunday evening and in St. Francis Hall on Monday evening. Children 5th grade and younger will be dropped off in Founder Hall before moving with catechists to the FDC for a fun evening of VBS songs, snacks and crafts. Youth in grades 6-12 will participate in the mission with the adults, but will sit with their catechists and peer groups each night.
