Families help form the backbone of faith. They teach us to trust, to respect, and to care for others, but families themselves are often fraught with dysfunction. Imperfections, psychological wounds, and losses can distort the prism of love meant to bind the family together. Fortunately, prayer, in particular communal prayer, offers us the opportunity to ask the Lord to heal and redeem us and keep our families whole.
Why Pray the Rosary?
"The Rosary is my favorite prayer. A marvelous prayer! Marvelous in its simplicity and its depth." ~St. John Paul II
The prayers of the Rosary impart calm, clarity, and the chance to grow closer to the Holy Trinity through prayer. They deepen our connection to Jesus and Mary by allowing us to meditate on key events in their lives while seeking intercession, guidance, and spiritual strength. Each prayer pulls us deeper into the experiences of Jesus Christ and Mary. Thoughts about the laundry, the unfinished project, or other work undone disappear, and a world of faith, hope, and love is revealed. Under the Links heading, there are some additional resources for learning about this unique and holy practice.
